What is PharmacyPlus?
PharmacyPlus is a mobile phone or computer based application (“app”) that is supported by a service provider (Health Window). The app allows the user, to scan their prescription and have it sent through to their pharmacy of choice.
The pharmacy will view the prescription and prepare the medication for collection (or delivery if the pharmacy offers this as a service). Once the medication have been prepared by the pharmacy, the user will receive a notification informing them that their medication is ready for collection (or has been delivered where applicable).
The app includes a script reminder notification. This means that the user will get an app notification when their chronic medication prescription is about to expire.
The user will also be able to access in store promotions and view health content.
What does the app cost?
There is no cost involved to use or download the PharmacyPlus application for the user.
Where do I download the app from?
The PharmacyPlus application is downloadable from both Android and Apple App stores.
What personal information is stored on this database?
The following information are stored on the App database:
Application user name
Contact details (Cell phone no. and email address)
Prescription details (medication name, repeats left & prescriber details)
What will Health Window do with my information?
Health Window stores the data on a secure server, so that the application users’ selected pharmacy can only access the specific details of the applicable application users’ to be able to deliver the service of preparing the requested medication in advance and notifying the application user when the medication is ready or when a new prescription is required. (No personal data will be used for “spamming”)
Who can see my information stored through the app?
Your information will be accessed by Health Window and the selected pharmacy. Health Window will never disclose your information to any other person or party, except the selected pharmacy.
How will my information be used?
The application users’ information will be accessed by Health Window and the selected pharmacy.
Health Window will never disclose the information to any other person or party, except the selected pharmacy.
No identifiable personal information will be shared in reports to the selected pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies. The selected pharmacies and applicable pharmaceutical companies will receive anonymised reports illustrating how many users are using the application, number of reminders sent etc.
Do I have to participate?
The application user are not obliged to participate, however it is in the application user best interest as the service ensures convenience and reminds the application user when to collect medication or when a new script is required to ensure continuation of therapy.
What does it mean if I participate by downloading the app?
It means that (the application user) agree to their information being stored on the database and allow Health Window and the selected pharmacy to access the data to prepare the medication and send out notifications and script reminders.
The data will also be included in anonymised reports to give Health Window, participating pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies an idea of the scope of success of the program.
